01What commercial vehicle conversions can Automotivate arrange?+

02What is the difference between a tipper van and a dropside van?+
A tipper van has a hydraulically operated bed that lifts to tip loose materials such as soil, aggregate or waste directly from the vehicle. A dropside van has fixed, hinged side and rear panels that fold down for loading and unloading palletised or bulky items by hand or forklift. We can specify either as part of a wider conversion, alongside the right chassis, payload and funding.
03Can you source the base vehicle as well as the conversion?+
Yes. We can source a suitable new, used or pre-registered base vehicle and coordinate it with the bodybuilder and equipment suppliers. Checking compatibility early helps protect payload, compliance, lead time and the finished vehicle's usability.
04How do you make sure a converted vehicle is compliant?+
The applicable requirements depend on the vehicle and conversion. We coordinate specification, approvals and quality checks with experienced UK bodybuilders and specialist suppliers, keeping the agreed use, weight, equipment and relevant compliance route in view throughout the project.
05Can the conversion cost be included in vehicle finance?+
Eligible conversion costs can often be included within the funding proposal, depending on the vehicle, conversion, funder and your business circumstances. We can coordinate the commercial vehicle and finance discussions so the complete requirement is considered together.
