Leasing finance

Contract Hire or Finance Lease built around your fleet.

Compare two commercial vehicle leasing routes, with payment structure, mileage, maintenance and end-of-contract responsibilities explained clearly.

Leasing includes more than Contract Hire.

Automotivate Leasing provides both Business Contract Hire and Finance Lease. The right route depends on whether you want a defined return point or greater control over the end-of-term value, as well as cash flow, mileage and maintenance needs.

Two structures. Different responsibilities.

Compare the complete payment and end-of-term position before choosing a product. The right structure depends on how your business wants to manage cash flow, mileage and end-of-term responsibilities.

02

Finance Lease

Lower rentals with an end value

Best for

Businesses comfortable carrying more disposal-value risk in return for a balloon-based rental profile.

  • Balloon reflects an assumed residual value

  • Vehicle remains owned by the funder
  • End process depends on funder terms

At the end
Sale or secondary-rental route
Ownership
No
Discuss Finance Lease

The lowest monthly rental is not always the best commercial result.

We consider the vehicle, term, mileage, initial rental, maintenance basis and end-of-term responsibilities together, so the quotation reflects real use.

01What is Business Contract Hire?

A long-term rental agreement for a fixed period and agreed mileage. You pay an initial rental followed by monthly rentals, then return the vehicle.

02What is the difference between Contract Hire and Finance Lease?

Contract Hire is designed around returning the vehicle. Finance Lease transfers more value and disposal risk to the customer through its end-of-term structure.

03Can my business own the vehicle at the end?

Neither product automatically transfers ownership. Contract Hire has no purchase option; Finance Lease follows the funder’s documented secondary-rental or third-party sale process.

04Can maintenance be included?

Depending on the quotation, a package can cover routine servicing, maintenance and tyres. Confirm the precise inclusions in the quotation and agreement.

05What happens if we exceed the agreed mileage?

Contract Hire funders normally charge at the rate in the agreement. Accurate mileage makes the initial quotation more realistic.

06Is VAT included in advertised rentals?

Unless expressly stated otherwise, business leasing rentals are normally shown excluding VAT. Your quotation shows the VAT treatment and full payment profile.

07Can I end a lease early?

Early termination normally needs the funder’s agreement and involves a charge. Request a formal figure before making operational decisions.

08Will a formal application involve a credit check?

A quote request does not. If you proceed, the funder may carry out business and personal credit checks after providing the required notices.
