This assessment records why limited business contact processing is necessary, proportionate and balanced against individual rights.
1. Purpose
Automotivate Leasing Limited may use relevant business contact information to respond to leasing enquiries and, where appropriate, provide proportionate follow-up about commercial vehicle leasing, fleet replacement and related services.
Responding to a request for a quotation or information is distinct from sending unsolicited direct marketing. We record the source and context of the contact and apply the appropriate rules to each activity.
2. Necessity
Limited business contact information is necessary to identify the relevant business contact, understand the vehicle or fleet requirement, provide a requested response and maintain an appropriate record of the conversation. We do not use more information than is reasonably required for those purposes.
3. Reasonable expectations
A person who submits a leasing enquiry can reasonably expect Automotivate Leasing Limited to contact them about that enquiry. For business-to-business marketing, we limit activity to corporate contacts whose professional role or organisation indicates that commercial vehicle or fleet information may be relevant.
4. Balancing and safeguards
We balance our commercial interests against the individual’s privacy rights and consider the relationship, source of the information, relevance, frequency, sensitivity and possible impact. Safeguards include data minimisation, limited frequency, clear identification, restricted access and suppression of contacts who object.
We do not rely on legitimate interests for optional website cookies where consent is required, or where another lawful basis is more appropriate.
5. Your choices
You may object to direct marketing at any time. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe route, and you may contact us to ask that your details are added to our suppression list. We retain enough information on that list to respect the request.
6. Review
This assessment is reviewed when the purpose, data sources, recipients, technology or likely impact changes, and at least annually while the activity continues.
